Martin E. Sandbu

Sandbu writes, lectures, and advises on economic development, business ethics, and politics. He publishes widely in both academic journals and general audience publications, and is the author of several policy reports. He is based in New York City.

Sandbu has a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Balliol College, University of Oxford, and an A.M. and Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government from Harvard University.

He currently teaches a course in Ethics in Corporate Responsibility at the Wharton School of Business, and has previously taught economics at Harvard. He has been an advisor on development policy to governments and NGOs in many countries.

He is also the founding chair of the Norwegian policy think-tank Liberalt Laboratorium ("Liberal Laboratory") based in Oslo. He frequently gives talks and contributes to the press in Norway, where he grew up.
