9. 187 - Geordi La Forge

Worf Picard Episodes Star Trek
CBS

Navigator and later chief engineer of the USS Enterprise-D, Geordi was absent from six episodes of TNG but still manages to make this list thanks to those four additional feature films and a lone but extremely memorable appearance in Voyager's Timeless as captain of the Galaxy Class USS Challenger, and now returning for Star Trek: Picard.

Interestingly, the six episodes of TNG in which La Forge doesn't appear are spread across its second to seventh seasons meaning that while Geordi was flying the ship, he was at the Conn week in, week out, without fail. That was at a time when, funnily enough, the ship had a revolving door of chief engineers with only Argyle managing two appearances before Geordi took over from the second season opener, The Child . Bizarrely he's also going to be the last of the TNG crew to appear onscreen with their in-universe kids.

His victory lap in Star Trek: Picard brings him up close to our next entry, though he remains locked in these three shows he's appeared on. It should be noted that LeVar Burton has directed many more episodes across the various shows in the franchise as well.

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of three decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Outside of writing I'm a retail who lives in the UK with my wife, our kids, dogs and cats. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
